Hi all,

I would like to subscribe to a sewing magazine. I would appreciate some advice as to which ones you guys think would be the best.

This will depend very much on your sewing interests and skill levels. Give us a little more, and we'll certainly help!

Personally, while I quite like Sewing World and Threads, neither has quite enough in them to boost my skills levels to where I want to go next! (I need one for advanced couture and tailoring technoques, advanced fitting ideas, and dealing with Very Awkward Fabric, waterproof zips, and advanced costuming! I'm still looking... ) So, you see, what will suit you depends where you start from!

Then there are plenty of quilting and embroidery magazines, lots of cross stitch stuff, and beading...

I have subscribed to Sew News since it appeared on the market and have learned so much though I've been sewing for some 63 years(age9). About 8 years ago , a DD gave me a subscription to Threads, which is great, I can never get by without either of these. l was given a subscription to Sewing Savvy when it came on the market and really enjoy the projects offered. Also, there is Creative Machine Embroidery, which is wonderful for those who embroider a lot, but I don't do enough to get it. All of them are online:

I'm not certain of the last one, but it is often advertised in Sew News. Emily-in Houston where the high yesterday and today was only in the mid-40s, cold.

I've been sewing since I was 12. My aunt was a seamstress and got me started and have been sewing now for about 45 yrs. When my serger and sewing machine finally bit the dust a few ago I kind of stopped sewing for a while. I just bought a White

2000ATS serger which I love. And a Brother PC6000 sewing machine. Which I love also. I am ready to get into the thick of things. I use to do all kinds of sewing. Making mine and my kids' clothes. Draperies etc. I've done quilting and a little machine embroidery. I would like to catch up on the latest technics and see what others are into these days.

Thanks all for the urls I am going to check them out today. I would have answered sooner but trying to get xmas decorations down and stored.
