Today has its loopy moments too!

Perhaps the Feds bribed the polar bears with it? ;-þ

I just went to look in the stash for a chunk of fabric. Now I *do* realize that it's quite easy to lose a length of fabric in a stash that occupies almost 40 stacking crates... But *THIS* bit of fabric is 60+ inches wide, heavy furnishing weight, and about 10m long! I have moved and looked in every damned box, plus a few bags, and a pile of other places. I've spent 45 minutes shifting large heavy boxes, and it's vanished! GRRRR!

AARRGGHH!

Phooey! Where to look next...

Have you tried down the back of the sofa or under the car seats?

;-)

My 'lost' stuff always seems to turn up there.

Two years later, I found my fuzzy wool between two blankets in a stack of bedding that had been stored in the sewing room.

Fabric still missing!

Look, I'm going back into the depths of the stash after lunch. If you don't hear from me in three days, send a search party!

Have you told Alan or James? They're much more likely to be able to find you.

Alan offered me a ball of string and told me too look out for the tall chap with bulls horns... James thought a week might be better, and told me to take a flask of soup...

In the past, yes! Sparrows nesting... Not so far this year, but the rotten old soffat boards were replaced along with the gutters on the back in the autumn, as part of our rebuilding and new room program. :) This is why most of the stash is in lidded crates...

Good luck on the Great Fabric Hunt. Do you have to have a hunting license? :-)

Uh oh.

A couple of years ago, while my DH was away on a trip, I bought a couple of butterfly chairs for the patio. I have fond memories of those chairs and thought they would be just the ticket to add extra seating.

I brought them home, set them up, put the covers on, and decided to test them for comfort. BIG MISTAKE!!!! Last time I sat in a butterfly chair, I was a wee bit younger and lighter.

So there I was, in the butterfly chair, knees in the air, butt in the bottom of the chair, thinking that I should have kept the cell phone by my side so that I could call the fire department to hoist me out. The neighbors were not home, and I envisioned DH coming home to find a skeleton in a new butterfly chair on the patio.

Fortunately, old age and cunning will outdo youth and skill every time. I managed to grab hold of the bench attached to the picnic table, and by sheer, brute force, pull myself up and out of that blasted chair.

If my son gets the house he's trying to buy, maybe I'll give him these two butterfly chairs for his new patio. He'll have to get his own cell phone.

I rescued it! I wanted my hoodie and it was in the pocket. I'd been wearing it when I went up to look in the boxes again, and took it off because it was quite warm up there and I was working hard: imagine a half hour workout with 30lb weights - twice over!

We made a beanbag chair the other day... My pal Mary and I decided that it was very comfy to sit it, but getting out was a matter of rolling to our knees and struggling up from there... Beanbag chairs are not for the over 40's with weight and/or rheumatic problems! It'll do fine for the younger generation as an emergency overflowing the furniture chair!

Hehehehehehe... But I will keep fingers crossed that he gets the house. How about a beanbag chair for the living room?

THIS is what I was trying to remember, when I responded to your wedding story!!!

Great minds, etc. (At least when they work!)

Howling at your story, by the way! LOL
