Way OT - Please help!

Hello, everyone, I'm not one to ordinarily ask for anyone's help since I figure I should be able to take care of myself and if not, and really desperate, then I ask for help. This time it isn't for me, but my son, Mark, and his wife, Tina. They took off for the weekend for a usual weekend drive into the mountains (California) and I just got a call from my granddaughter that they haven't come home and my son's boss has called my granddaughter "umpteen" times to find out if there has been any word from them. Now keep in mind that my son is a very conscientious person and would not take off from work on a lark and my daughter-in-law baby-sits for my granddaughter's little boy so that my granddaughter can go to work. Please pray for their safe return. I'm going crazy with worry. Thanks to all, Love to all, God bless, Marlys in Indiana

Thank you for the good thoughts. Yes, my granddaughter (26) contacted the police to submit a missing persons report but said the police have given her little encouragement on their active search for them. It gives me a horrible feeling that something terrible has happened to them, but no one is able to check it out since no one knows exactly where they went. Marlys in Indiana Going in crazy in Indiana not knowing what happened in Calif.

Hello, Marlys.

I am very sorry to hear about the disappearance of your son, and his wife, and I am praying for their safe return. I believe in the power of prayer. May God be with you in this difficult time. Do not give up hope.

I told my DS about your concerns and he had this to say. Did your DGD get in touch with the State Highway Patrol in CA and/or which other state(s) they will travel across as well as where she lives? She could provide them with a description of the vehicle with the license plate #, and descriptions of her parents. I know there was lots of snow in the mountains of CA over the weekend, the weather channel was showing pictures, so they may be caught in a no-cell phone area and can't get a signal to call out. Our prayers and good thoughts are with you, as I stated earlier. Please let us hear of any news. Emily

Marlys,

I am in California 35 miles ENE of San Francisco, and if there is anything I can do to help, let me know. Seriously, *please* do. I know the feeling of having someone you love being in danger and being too far away to do anything about it.

What mountains were they going into?

And they will be on my prayer list until I know they are found.

Melinda, Thanks for the offer of help, but they are way down about 40 miles ENE of San Bernardino, and at last report - yesterday, Friday, they have the San Bernardino County Search and Rescue looking for my son. My daughter-in-law was found on Thurs. but my son is still out there somewhere in the "high desert" area. Marlys in Indiana
