Kathleen, you are so right!! I was thinking of the dolls with the crocheted skirts that "hide" the extra roll of toilet paper too. lol

I can't figure out what scares me more......

  1. That there could be a retail outlet that sells this stuff in mass quantities.....

-or-

  1. That somewhere across the pond is a seamster that sews this stuff professionally.... I don't think anyone would be able to for very long without incurring a serious visual impairment. (Makes my eyes cross just looking at it!!!)

oh, Juno, that's my favourite, too. although I'm not sure if it's the outfit

For me it's the the overall look that does it. It's "tacky" personified. What more could you ask for in bad taste. Juno

For men to start wearing codpieces again. ;)

(From Blackadder the Third) Baldrick: My Unlce Baldrick was in a play once. Edmund: Really? Baldrick: Yeah. It was called MacBeth. Edmund: And what did he play? Baldrick: Second codpiece. MacBeth wore him in the fight scenes. Edmund: So he was a stunt codpiece? Baldrick: Yeah. Edmund: Was it a large part? Baldrick: Depends on who was playing MacBeth.

Well, what we see here is definitely mind-boggling. The phrase "mutton dressed as lamb" is about the only comment that is fit to print. In fact it is all so jaw-dropping that I could scarcely believe it was true; perhaps it was a setup for a TV program, or some other kind of put-up job. So I did a bit of detective work.

This was a real wedding. It took place in the Republic of Ireland earlier this year. The pictures were posted on a local community website, where they were noticed and referenced on a couple of *bridal* forums. The accompanying community guestbook has one reference suggesting that the couple are part of the "traveller" community, what we used to call gypsies or tinkers.

The original site had a lot more photographs on it. Someone made a Powerpoint presentation out of a few, which was then referenced on a couple of lads sites (football, rugby), and there Penny found them.

The original site has taken the photo's offstream, clearly noticing the vast influx of less-than-respectful viewers (and possibly having their bandwidth overwhelmed).

I'm being deliberately obscure. I think the poor couple have suffered enough, whatever you may think of their guests dress sense, having been the subject of ridicule for a few months now. Some blame has to attach to the webmaster, though - what can they have been thinking of? Security in obscurity?

moral of this story, do not ever put ANYTHING on the 'net that you would not want the world to see. HOw about that poor kid with his lightsabre...?

...says the "star" of the world's most embarassing mountain bike crash photo.

lol. I"m not shy. You might have to wait until next week when I get "my" computer up and running, it's in computer ICU.. It's got all my webstuff and I'd be hardpressed to locate one single jpeg ( of the dozens of cycling pics)on my site without access to my directories. SO remind me next week.
