What are your favorite online fabric sources?

Hello all,

Ok, I've just gotten my new machine (and managed to break one of the darn feet already, if you can believe that--my fault entirely for fiddling with it before reading the instructions, but Sears is sending me a new one free of charge).

Anyway, I've recently gone nuts ordering fabric online. I love doing this! It's so convenient, and cheap, and I love everything I've received. I know about Fabric.com, Fabricclub.com, Fashion Fabrics Club, and Fabricline so far. I've ordered from both Fabric.com and Fabricclub.com with excellent results and am about to place an order with Fashion Fabrics Club.

Any others that you all use and like? I could of course do a web search, but I really wanted some word of mouth recommendations for reputable sources.

Thanks in advance for any leads!

This company is good. They helped me find a certain fabric that I needed to complete a quilt. The prices are good also.

I have only ordered from EQuilter as Linda suggested. The owners, Paul & Luanna Rubin are extremely friendly and helpful. Emily

There are thousands of sites out there now, and what you like depends on what you find most interesting.

For fancy and novelty fabrics, I use

- very good print velvets, lace, fancy wools, etc. For batiks, I go first to

- huge range of all kinds of batiks, mostly on cotton. For Oriental fabrics, I use

- they sell Chinese silk brocades and oriental-print cottons, and are the sister company of

which sells Hawaiian prints on cotton, rayon and barkcloth - some very loud designs. You can find more barkcloths and tapa cloth at

was recommended to me by JJ on here, and it has a fabulous range of cottons, including psychedelics and photo-realistic designs. Also recommended by others were

They all have very good ranges.

At 56 dollars a yard, they're a tad out of my league;)

Hope this is a start, anyway. I can recommend others if you're into vintage fabrics, kimono fabrics, African fabrics, tartan, silk or sashiko.

Don't laugh, but with my love of vintage fabrics and off-the-wall stuff, I LIVE at eBay.
