Whee! CAN sew today!

Last night's massage and pain killer coctail seems to have worked. This morning I was about 80% better, so went for my swim. I was a bit slower than usual, but managed the mile (48 lengths of the outdoor pool). Followed by a hot shower and a bacon sarnie for breakfast, this set me up nicely. I then took my pal Little Mary's pooch out for half an hour while she did some swift catching up on the housework and shoved her laptop in her bag, and we came home for lunch, only stopping off over the road to collect some cherries (you can't get more local than that without growing them yerself!).

This afternoon, while LM has been busy preparing power point presentations for work, I've turned up three pairs of trousers for her and butchered the waistband of a fourth.

SEWING HAS HAPPENED! This bodes well for tomorrow.

You really are being a tease with those fresh cherries. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Congratulations! Now, Kate, don't go and overdo it, or you'll put yourself right back in the same bad spot.

Excellent, on all counts. Reminds me, I need to go pick some strawberries today.

It was: bopught a Lush massage bar specially, and it's worth every penny.

Nah... I take about an hour, usually. Took an extra quarter hour today. I try to do this two or three times a week. Swimming and walking are the only exercise I'll do voluntarily, and they help to keep me out of a wheelchair. I have fibromyalgia and something complex and Latin wrong with my knees which translates as 'wobbly kneecaps', so I HAVE to exercise and stay supple and try to keep the weight down, and keep the muscles up the front of my thighs strong. It's painful, but less so than giving in and ending up unable to move at all.

Sandwich. In my case, wholemeal bread with no butter spread on it.

We made a HUUUUUGE vat of fruit salad with two colours of cherries, strawberries, a small pineapple, half a Galia melon, a mango, apple, banana, grapes, orange, and fresh orange juice as the 'syrup'. While we ate lots, there's plenty left for both breakfast AND dinner tomorrow... My Giant Mutant Ninja Teenager is a dab hand with a sharp knife in the kitchen and likes cooking.

Me too! I'm never totally free of pain, and any extra tends to make me really miserable and ANGRY. Especially when it's caused by doing someting so stupid and so minor!

The sewing was good. I have hat toiles to make tomorrow, and a pattern for some Regency pantalets...

Hat toiles and a pantalette pattern tomorrow... Mostly a combination of sitting and standing. And I see the optician tomorrow afternoon, so a bit of gentle walking is added to the mix. No ladders, and no Big Heavy Boxes. :)

I love them best still warm out of the garden. Like tomatoes.
