Where are you, girls!?

What is this, does my server not show or are there no comments on the 82 red carpet of you know what? I had a little peek at things here:

, although I'm dead sure that that can't have been all. Anyway, my personal favourite for the worst dress is Sarah Jessica Parker. She seems to have no taste in dress and looks like some of those emaciated women you see in photo documentaries about third world countries, you know the type, hard work and not enough food. I like Meryl Streep; aging gracefully, that's what she does, and shows to great advantage what still looks well. ;->

U. - thought I'd kick the ball into your half... ;-) Otherwise too busy to read or write much due to kiddo, redo of sewing room/office and hunt for new sofa.

I started to look but the site is so cumbersome I gave up. It took forever to go from photo to photo. But I do agree, Parker looks awful - anorexic? The other thing I noticed was that with the fitted dresses, they seem to pucker and generally fit poorly - on several that I saw - too tight? Also some looked poorly finished, "home made."

Click the page numbers at the bottom, they load very quickly here. I'll look more later, I just got home from doctor's appointment and bathroom-fixture shopping, and I'm hungry.

I liked the dress worn by Sarah Jessica but I agree that she looks too thin. I liked the style of Meryl Streeps dress but I think it would have looked better in some other colour.

My personal worsts were Miley Cyrus, Charlize Theron and Zoe Saldano. I liked Carey Mulligan's dress a lot.

All quite academic of course since I'm never likely to get myself into any of those sorts of dresses and even if I did, I'd be quite happy to look as well scrubbed up as the worst of them.

And fellows!

I soooo wanted to protest about the BBC's excessive coverage here in the UK in all the *news* programmes of a complete non-event dedicated to the cult of (largely) talantless personality but I just couldn't be bothered.......

Yes, there are talanted people out there, but shedloads of money corrupts them into not very nice people. It was just the lovies congratulating themselves. Was it news-worthy? Nah, not beyond a couple of sentences.

Yeah, Miley Cyrus seemed to look like she was ten years older than she is in that dress. Something like what Sandra Bullock wore would have looked better on her.

Yes, of course, and fellows! (Although I was under the impression that the guys here are more interested in the technical aspect of sewing and not so much in cheescake-and-coffee-type conversation. ;-> )

Yeah well, that sums it up rather nicely, although Fran isn't too wrong, either. But then, we don't dress up and parade in front of the lenses of the assembled world press. Therefore, let's gossip.

Why, why, why were so many of the gowns poorly fitted - mostly on the small side? Karen in CO
