Where's a good online place for old Singer parts?

I wonder if anyone could recommend a good online place to buy old Singer parts.

I got my girlfriend an old Singer 237 sewing machine at a yard sale but now we need to get a new belt for it. (The one that goes under the big wheel at the back.)

Or does anyone know a good store in Brooklyn/New York?

Thanks for any help.

Tony

You can get or order them from any sewing machine shop that mends older sewing machines. Alternatively, contact Singer via their web site and see if they can either send you one or tell you who will have them in your area:

Have a bunch of old Singer feet (high shank) that came in a sewing box I purchased. Guess will donate or see if an vintage sewing store wants them. Hate to just put them in the trash. My machine is a Pfaff and they do not fit.

Any of the Vintage machine lists on Yahoo will be helpful in finding parts, We often share or keep a look out for members. Also e-Bay has a huge listing for parts. Vintage and orphaned parts are a thriving business for many e-Bay sellers. A set of high shank feet, which are hard to come by sold for over $100.00 a couple of months back. I always keep a few sets of all descriptions on hand for the Vintage guys, and my DH is currently dismantling over 100 machines and bagging all the parts minus the housings. I have passed on several already.

Several of the older Pfaff machines and some of the made for Pfaff by other companies do use high shank feet. They are getting harder to find now.

Missouri Sewing Machine Company in Kansas City, MO will ship to you, they have been in business for ages and probably have what you need.

Do a web search to locate them.
