I was wondering if anyone on the group still hosts the Which sewing
machine FAQ  page as yet again someone has asked me that question and I
wanted to point them in the right direction .
If no one does host it at the moment I could put it on my personal
site if required.
Thanks

Claire, Penny S. used to maintain that FAQ, but her site is
returning a "404 not found" http://www.cet.com/~pennys/faq/smfaq.htm

I think I have the text somewhere, but a quick search just now did
not locate it.  :-(

AHA!  The wayback machine has it archived:
http://web.archive.org/web/20071021104932/http://cet.com/~pennys/faq/smfaq.htm

But several of those links probably need to be updated and/or
removed.

Thanks for the reminder. I used to have this on my site, but it got lost in
the move to the new one. Penny also has anew site so that old URL does not
work.
Here it is:

Ron, do you still have the micrograph series of the needle point at increasing
magnifications?  If so, what's the URL?  I've sent a lot of people who want to sew
with dull needles over to look at that one.

It would be interesting to see a new needle
under the maximum magnification  -
 -  to compare  -   perhaps a cheap new needle
would look just as bad as this dull needle ?

Brilliant, Thank you both Ron and Beverly. I will put that link up to
answer the eternal request.
I will probably put the page up on my personal site also.
