which surger to purchase?

I posted this q. on the quilting usergroup. am in states, noticed last surger question had alot of uk info. I did get good info. Am in the market for a new surger, Have an old babylock, love it but it is getting too hard to thread. No babylock dealers here, just Bernina, Pfaff, and HV. Would it be better to get a new Babylock mail order or go with a local brand? Was going to get a new babylock but was transfered before could purchase it? Am looking at a top of line as will be last I ever purchase. Also no Brother dealers within 3 hours.
