What's your favorite technique?

It makes a mess, but I really do love "polished stone".

I haven't done it in ages, but I still have a piece on my office door from my days of stained glass image on acetate, painted from behind in pearlescent, metalic, and glitter fingernail polishes!

And, I am always enchanted with watercoloring using Twinkling H2O's!

I saw the polished stone technique done at a convention last year, it looked gorgeous. I bought four sets of the alcohol inks but haven't had the nerve to try it. I think I need some hands on help. If someone is demonstrating it at the convention in October I'll ask for help.

I have a lot of Twinkling H20's but haven't played with those either. I love the look of them on flowers. Guess I need an adventuresome playmate. Why do I buy things and never use them? Is there a SA "stampers anonymous" group out there? LOL.

okay so I think that my favorite technique is the chalk pencils. I absolutely love them, you can just draw around say a skirt and then I take a q-tip and blend it in. It so nice as you don't have all that smearing or smudging going on and you don't have to worry about it rubbing off.

I must have all 4 sets of the chalk pencils. Has anyone else tried them?

Oooooooooooooooooooo, now putting chalk - an effect I love, a mess I hate - in pencil form just seems **brilliant**... must look out for these!

Hi Allison,

They are the General Chalk pencils, I got mine from TAC. At the time my demo offered them buy 3 get one free so of course I had to buy them then. I have used them at all of my workshops and practicaly each and every person purchases a pack. The cool thing about them is, say you outline something and then you blend it, usually you want the outside to be a little darker then the inside and well it is just that easy to do. Most importantly, no mess. You see I love something that is just that easy. :o)

I have to have those! Am going to call my friend right now, she has a TAC catalog. Guess I should check in my SU catalog first since I'm a demo for them...nope they don't have them. Thanks for the information.
