10" or 12" protractor

I am looking for a large protractor to use on larger segmented work. The drafting stores I have talked to have nothing larger then 8" diameter. Does anyone know of a source?

Suggest you take a look at a used office furniture store where they might have some drafting equipment, namely a drafting machine. The protractor head on it is only about 6 inches diameter but you can install a straight edge 18-24 inches long without problem. The vernier system on the protractor head allows accuracy down to minutes of a degree.

There are some good vernier protractors on eBay. Starrett brand is very good.

A few years ago, I wrote to Alvin, makers of drafting stuff, about the accuracy of their triangles - reply was something on the order of, "Alvin makes no claim to accuracy of it's triangles."

I guess this means that it may be spot on - or waaay off.
