Web Site: the work in progress

Just a note to day that the work in progress is progressing, albeit slowly. More time to turn would be nice. I have meetings all day today.

Hi Darrell,

I just had to pop in here to tell you I still check your website out on a fairly regular basis. I recommend your site to anyone new to turning. You have one of the best, keep up the great work.

I'm sure you remember me, little old lady? gray hair? known to "aggressive" turners! used to turn on the Craftsman monotube? still faithful to The General.

And if you don't remember her, shame on you! For pennance, go buy a Carpe Lignum shirt or mug . . . ;-)

Hi there Ruth.

Glad to see you do still know where some of us hang out, miss your postings up here, not enough active participants here lately, come and do some jacking here more often.

Now that I have a few sayings on the backs of the t-shirts, they are selling pretty good. I have John Jordan's "Life's too short to turn crappy wood" and when I have a vendor booth next to him or we share one, the shirts sell really good!

Darrell, that old monotube is one terrific lathe. I think Craftsman makes some very good machines and tools, or at least used to, I haven't purchased anything in a long time. If it's bolted to a sturdy table with weight (I had 8 cinder blocks underneath on a shelf made from

2"x's rough cut).

Happy turning, Ruth
