Argh!

So I told myself that this year I was going to take care of some UFOs that have been languishing for a year or so. The first one I decided to tackle was the lacy cardigan I was working on when I was in the hospital in July 2006. I got the back and fronts done and attached, but I messed up on the decreases for the right front, and the pattern didn't line up at the shoulders like it should. I also had started one of the sleeves but hadn't kept track of what row I was on. I ripped the sleeve and whipped up both sleeves in record time for me, then it was time to tackle that right front. I slowly picked out the three-needle bind off and rewound the yarn. Then I started from the beginning. I had a bit of confusion as my pattern had 2 sizes circled, and instead of trying to figure out what I did I just assumed that I used the larger size.

Well...I get to the point where I'm decreasing for the neck and discovered why I circled 2 sizes. The bigger size was only for the

*length* - I need longer sleeves than the size I am, and I like my sweaters longer as well - and I had actually made the back and left front in the smaller size. Grr...

So I ripped and rewound the yarn yet again and got started on it last night.

If I weren't such a damned perfectionist about my knitting this UFO would be an FO by now. Then again, I know I have things older than this laying around, things that only need to have a seam or two sewn to be finished. Maybe I'll even get to those this year :-)
