Att'n: MIRJAM, regarding moebious's

My dear friend, How large do you make your moebious's? Do you have any photo's? I make mine to fit sortof three ways, as a headscarf, as a scarf/cowl/collar, or as a neckscarf.... Lateley, approx 175 stitches around, using Cat Bordhi's mobius cast-on.... Hugs, Noreen

Hallo Noreen , Good morning , I measure wanted length =circumference of reciever, [mine and most grown ups is 152 cm =60 inches ] i make a guague by knitting or crocheting some stitiches of wanted wool /cotton . Than calculate how many stitched i need for the above measurements. I don`t use that lady`s cast on ,,, If i knit it i knit= cast on 150 cm worth of my gugue`s stitiches , than when i have all those st on my circular i lay it out carefuly in to see all is straight , than take the needle side with last st , turn the 1st st, and knit +caston ast on each underdide of the former row , until i come to the last and can go on knitting and knitting and knitting till i am happy with the WIDTH of my moebious ,,,I advice some pattern that will be nice on both sides !!!!

If i crichet it i use the DC cast on ,, when i have the wanted number of st, that i tried for my gaugue , i make sure the row is straight , turn the first dc and crochet on it`s underside , a chain, than a sc on the underside of 2nd dc , than DC till you are happy with width. you can play with patterns ,,,,

I have already mixed colors in both crochet and knitting.

I have combinned entrelac in the knitted one .

Best of luck mirjam
