Hello,

I just wanted to sing the praises of etsy.com. Ever since someone turned me onto it I totally have enjoyed my experience. It is complete handmade hand crafted sellers. the creativity alone on this site is soo much fun. You guys should check it out. I haven't sold anything yet but I have 6 items posted and I have had more views than I ever did on ebay and I have spent less money that I have on ebay for 6 items compared to

1 on ebay.

If you can't tell I love this site. Here is my little shop on etsy for you'll to check out.

Ali,

Nice work. I'm thinking some of your initial hits may have just been the people of the group eager to check out your work. I know I had to go and look!

I sell custom colored crocheted and knitted scarves and knit ear warmers to people at my DH's work. Most recent were 2 knitted scarves in a Harry Potter stripe style with custom colors. Tons of ends to weave in, but were they ever pleased with the work. No, I didn't use anyone's pattern, just used my gauge swatch and determined stitches and rows based on that. I heard HP scarves are 8 inches across double thickness and between 72 and 84 inches long with 4 inch wide stripes for the pattern used in the first couple of movies, so that's what I used. I knit 16 inches wide in the flat and folded the work into a tube and carefully matched stripes while sewing together, since I don't knit in the round that often.

I also do team colors (purple and orange stripes for Phoenix Sunsbasketball, blue and silver for Dallas Cowboys football), which hasbeen very popular with sports fans. Anyway, good luck with your store.
