Thank you Dennis ,, we worked very hard , My twice a month helping lady has been sick for 3 months, in which i did a lot, but she is a much better cleaner than me. In fact she taught me some tricks i didn`t know. I am glad and bought her as present when she came back.

Now it is back to Exhibition stuff ,,,, reread my text and it is OK . Now have a Great cup of coffee , and sort of look through post[s] .. Have an urge to knit , work on book and sew,,, but Duty tells me the order of work ,,, mirjam

Good Morning everyone.

Today is going to be a very quiet day for me as DH is getting ready to go off to work. Haven't seen much of him this weekend as he has worked all weekend.

I have been getting lots of knitting and crocheting done so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.

Have a good Sunday.

Hope you don't get too much snow today. Just watching the weather network and saw that you were in a snow storm warning.

It's snowing here and they are calling for about 15 cm by tomorrow.

For the inch/foot/yard impaired, that's approximately 5.90 inches, LOL. Noreen

It's late Sunday morning for me now, although I've been 'up' for many hours. It will be a quiet day, I'm still fighting the flu, and am very achey and tired.... Last night I attempted a baby cap/hat, and frogged it four times.... very frustrating, when a baby cap is mindless, quick work, NORMALLY! Noreen

almost noon here, still in my pj's!! I have to work tonight so the rest of the day is a "do nothing" day, till I get ready for work. I think my dog even knows when I go out to feed her in my pjs she wants to jump and play more!! I did finish a pink baby sweater last night.may start on hat and booties after work. The baby hats are fast and easy, the booties I have to count rows and stitches to get them both the same size. Have a good day. Jenny

I have things back in order after having a meeting here all day yesterday - we potlucked lunch. Later on today two couples who live near us are coming over for the Super Bowl and some simple supper.

I am making progress on my DGD#2's sweater.

We had a windy, wet Saturday but managed not to lose power. (Lots of people a bit north of here did.) I understand it was to hit Vancouver Island as well - did you get it, Els? Some areashad problems because the high winds came along with a high tide that caused coastal flooding

but things were ok here due to the wind direction.

They are saying that we might actually see the sun a bit this week. That will be welcome.

Good morning (it's afternoon, but still feels like morning).

I am procrastinating trying to put off going to work, which involves slugging through snow and mud at construction sites. I'm getting more tired each day because of a nasty cough that won't let me sleep. It was my turn to get up with the puppy early this morning and she usually goes right back to bed. For some reason, she thought it was play time instead. Is there a conspiracy to keep me from sleeping? :) Sitting on the beach in Florida seems so long ago but it was only just over a week ago...

I guess the sooner I get started working, the sooner I can get back and prop my feet up and relax - lol.

Thanks, I still have the problem with cm to inches and I just now that if it keeps snowing like it is right now we are going to have lots of snow.

Right now I am stilling with DH at work. I am lucky as I know the client he is at today so I got to tag along and am enjoying my time. I will see get to crochet and probably knit some today so don't mind this at all.

We got hit with a TON of snow last night/this morning (which knocked out the hydro for 6 1/2 hours)... so Matthew couldn't make it to work (overtime) today afterall. He just went out and shovelled some of the snow (VERY heavy) from around the van. He is back in for a short break, then will go back out to work on part of the laneway to the end of the house... then come back for another short break before going back out to finish the laneway down to the end at the road. It is way too heavy to do all in one go.

The lilac bushes branches outside the kitchen windown are so heavy with snow that they are bent down to lay on the little dog shed the previous owner had build on to the back of the house. The clothesline is drooping, but not as much as I had expected. And even the Maple tree branches on the back tree in the yard are so heavy with snow the ends of them are touching the ground. It *looks* gorgeous, but I know it isn't good for the trees, and it was treacherous to drive home in last night.

In fact THREE times when my tires went outside the ruts made by previous cars along the road, the van got a mind of its own and headed for the ditch. I took my foot off the accelerator (and *didn't* touch my break, even though I was tempted as the deep ditch loomed closer), and concentrated on just steering, until the van stopped or I got it back into the tire ruts again. I have *never* had that kind of problem driving in snow in all the years I have been driving... it was unreal... and for it to happen THREE times... I was glad to get home and not have to go back out again for the night. So for today, I will just enjoy looking out through the windows while staying inside where it is warm. Oh... the chain link fence between the house and the parking lot next door, and the frame of the deck shows that there is at least about 8" of snow sitting on them. Considering that the winds were blowing quite hard last night too, it's likely that we had more snow than that though.

Yes, we have a blowing snow warning. If we are lucky, it won't start until about 5 in the morning, and we will get some time off school. One lives in hope!
