Hi everyone!
I'm still around...kids have just been keeping me busy. "Terrible Two's," as it turns out isn't just a clever title. :)
Anyway, still trying to settle into our new home. We sold our old place, but it fell out of escrow at the 11th hour, so it's back on the market agian. *sigh*.
Otherwise, someone backed into my car in the parking lot with all of us in it. Nobody was hurt, but I was so upset, I immediately ran to the yarn store down the street (the "unfortunate" thing about where I live...I have to drive 15 minutes to get to a grocery store, but yarn stores abound) and bought some Noro...then I designed and knitted Lammy a sweater jacket out of it. hehehe. I guess it beats eating chocolate cake, except for I turned around and made myself a giant chocolate cake too, so I'm not only out $30 for the Noro, but I'm 5 lbs heavier after it was all said and done! LOL
I found the local Wal*Mart and Lammy picked out two skeins of Red Heart Plush, one hot pink, one bright lavender. Of course, who could say no to a cute little 2 year old earnestly trying to purchase yarn (after mommy's own heart, I tell you!), so we bought the two skeins, and I designed and am almost done with a second sweater. Ironically, Lammy doesn't like to wear sweaters, but they're so quick to make, I guess I don't mind so much, just to get the experience in. I'll post pictures later, and you can email me and tell me if you want my design notes. (*I* think they're cute)
I've settled into a really small church in the area, and attend their craft meetings regularly. Now, we're sewing some bunnies for social workers to give to displaced children. We'll be branching out to teddy bears and tote bags soon.
Okay, that's the run down in five minutes. Hope everybody's okay! I"ll try reaing RCTY stuff through Google, so I hope it's not as quirky as it used to be! hehehe
