Hi Mirjam

It sounds wonderful. Our snow is barely starting to melt. We had a spring storm on Saturday night and our power went out for five hours. Our wood stove came in handy and kept us warm until the power came back on.

Maybe we'll see some spring flowers in 4 to 6 weeks, so it was nice to hear about yours. ;>)

I'm good.

We're now in the season of sever thunderstorms and tornados. Aside from that, the pine trees have coated everything in yellow-green pollen, which chokes my lungs and my allergies cry out for relief.

You're right, Spring IS here! I no longer suffer from flu or bronchitis. Now I'm choked by pollen!

It's a good time to stay indoors and knit!

As one of my seed suppliers put it: A huge amount of too much rain fell mid-late March in a swath from Oklahoma northeast through Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and adjacent states. Over a foot (300mm) in some places.

Farmers are wondering when it will dry out enough to start planting. Meanwhile, crocuses are in bloom (very late this year, I think), and the forsythia buds are starting to swell, but otherwise it is gray, gray, gray.

On the knitting front, I should have pictures of a colorful FO to put up soon, as soon as I finish weaving in the last few ends.

Yes it surely is.... We had several inches of snow Sunday and last night. At least the sun is out and will melt most of it, then in goes into the 50s (F), hopefully for good.

Would love to have some heat. I'm hearing it will be in double digit temps by Thursday or Friday. Maybe 11 or 12 Celcius. Fingers are crossed. ;>)

If I could package up the snow and send it, I would. ;>)

Those flowers sound so beautiful Mirjam.

I have been busy as one of my neighbours (an elderly lady aged 86) fell and broke her hip on Monday. She has been getting very frail lately and, although one neighbour has a key to her house, none of us wants to be seen as interfering. She is a very independent person.

We have to be able to work out how to better see she is well if she is allowed back home. We are waiting to hear from her relatives (who live away from here) regarding what the doctors recommend for her.

Between times I have been working in my garden and have almost crocheted another lacy jacket. Pictures will follow (together with some of the latest moebius) eventually!

Not really Mirjam, I just feel I owe so much for the loving kindness shown to me when I was unable to cope myself. A dear friend sent me this little poem a long time ago. It is entitled "Smile".

SMILING is infectious, You catch it like the flu When someone SMILED at me today, I started SMILING too I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin When he SMILED, I realised I'd passed it on to him. I thought about that smile, then realised its worth, A single SMILE just like mine could travel 'round the earth. So if you feel a SMILE begin, don't leave it undetected.

LET'S START AN EPIDEMIC QUICK AND GET THE WORLD INFECTED!

I think that is so true and the same thing applies to a kindness passed on. :-)

I am also doing fine. I am having spring weather in my area in Alabama. Right now it raining & Sugar is looking sad b/c of it. She would not go out into the rain. I am doing house & finishing all my projects. I am now finishing my sock pattern heading back to the blanket. That is under some of the yarn. I got to get a better yarn box for my yarn. LOL. Yesterday, was the same. I also talk to some of the weather people on some forum. Added a weather warning map on my weather listing page & add one on my email page in the msntv. Talk to some of the um site friend. They were goofing around on a subject about what they would do if electricity died out. Some of the stuff was very funny, cute, and very educational on what they would do. Then after finishing house work, I went back to knitting. Sugar came then and lay on my knitting stuff as I was working on it. But all I did was scoot her over so I can finish one of the projects. That project I finish is the hat thing. It look good and fits too. Pam-Doggirl3 My sites:
