Thank you! I spent a couple of hours last night and didn't come anywhere close to what I was after. (I don't think my search skills are what they should be.)

This recipe was in a local paper recently. Perhaps you can adapt it by using lemon or lime Jell-o.

Strawberry Candy

2 small packages strawberry Jell-O 1 cup sweetened canned milk 1/2 teaspoon almond extract 1 tablespoon red sugar 1/3 pound finely ground coconut (drying overnight helps it tot grind easier and finer) 1/2 pound finely ground blanched almonds (almond paste also works)

  1. Hand mix Jell-O, milk, extract and sugar to dissolve. Add coconut and almonds.

  2. Shape into strawberries and roll in red sugar. Place on waxed paper. Press ball on wax paper while pulling up to form a tip. Makes about 100.

  1. Let sit overnight. Use lemon or orange Jell-O and lemon or orange extract for a different look.

Note: Colored sugar can be made with sugar and food coloring and let dry.
