Here it is another end of the month and time to report the finished items.

FO's 5 lapghans/afghans 36"x45"

I really think Ii either need more time to do my crafts or try not to start as many projects before finishing some of them.

FOs:

-Fortissima Mexico socks (ugliest things I have ever knit! Still considering whether I want to frog'em and start over w/ a different pattern).

-Clapotis shawl (my funnest project ever - both to make and to wear!)

-Regia Jacquard socks (might frog these too, now that I have discovered the joys of toe-up socks)

WIP:

-Jaeger Maxwell Cabled Jacket (still waiting for more yarn)

-Yoga bag (all but the strap is done - most boring thing in the world. I have a feeling this is going to be on the WIP list for quite some time!)

-Klematis toe-up socks

Hm, where to begin? :) I guess with a picture:

My gauge was a little bit off (didn't think 1 stitch over 4" would make such a big difference!). I probably also shouldn't have done a rib with the self-patterning yarn. Somehow they never come out right for me so I'm going to stick to stripes and solids from now on (don't hold me to that though;). Here are some other socks I made from self-patterning yarns which came out a little better (though I still think they're ugly):

And this is off-topic for this email but I finally got a picture of my Stained Glass Hat up:

This was my first attempt at Fair Isle and, while it wasn't perfect, I was still very pleased with how it turned out! While I'm showing off, might as well display this one too:

I made 3 or 4 of these felted purses for friends for Christmas. This one was my favorite! Cheers, LauraJ

I couldn't open any of these. :-( I'd love to see them, though.

Oh dear, Nora said the same thing. What message did you get? I have them all set to "public" access so I don't know what's going on :(

I can't get to them either. Just get an IE message saying the page cannot be displayed.

I got messages saying that the pages could not be displayed. Maybe if you gave the "real" URL instead of the "tiny" one, that would work?

I don't have a list (laugh)..... I finished one pair of cotton/nylon socks for me.... that's it!

WIP A pullover sweater.... I have frogged this sweater twice now. It started out as a cardigan and has decided it wants to be a pullover. So, we'll see how it goes.

Another pair of summer socks - this time 100% cotton.

I'll post some pics and links soon.

Okay, since no one could see the links above, hopefully the whole album will work:

Here is the whole link if that doesn't work for you:

The ugly socks are called "Fortissima Mexico socks" The slightly less ugly socks are "Regia Jacquard Socks"

The Stained Glass Hat and the Red Felted Purse should be obvious! ;)

Thanks for taking a look!

It says that phvrf.yahoo.com can't be found. I'm not surprised since I've never heard of such a thing. What should it be?

The puse is so sweet, and I liked the hat and the colores of it a lot!!! And I cannot see why you should frog the socks?!?, I an sure they are warm, so if YOU don't like the colores, you can wear them in boots! To be serious, I cannot see what is wrong with them, Laura, I think you are the only one! LOL!! AUD ;-))

That is very strange! That isn't even in the url I copied & pasted. Ah well, it does seem to work when I post the whole album. I guess I will have to figure out a new way of posting pictures in the future because this was how I always used to post them.

I checked out your new baby blanket - that is beautiful! It looks quite complicated. I always enjoy looking at the pictures of your green and white baby blanket as well. I have that pattern booklet on my list of "someday" acquisitions because I love that blanket so much and have a bright green yarn (we won't exactly call it flourescent ;) in my stash that I don't know what else to do with.

Thanks for sharing!

Cheers, Laura

>>> The ugly socks are called "Fortissima Mexico socks">>

Aw, thank you Aud. DH thought they didn't look quite so bad in the picture as they do in real life (he agrees with me that their are quite heinous!). I think they will probably soften up a bit after washing which will help. They're just so harsh right now. We will see if I have time for frogging or not though. One of the LYS was having a 30% off sale yesterday and I accidentally spent all my birthday money in one fell swoop so I have quite a lot to keep me busy right now!

I just added another pic to that album of the DC skullcap everyone has been talking about. It was so easy! And only took a little more than an hour. I used a skein of the Artyarns Supermerino that I had in my stash and the hat used all but a couple yards of the 104 yd skein. That yarn is soooooooo nice to work with! It's hard to believe that it is superwash!

Hi Laura and Dawn,

Laura, those socks look great, just what I like, the more colors the better. I loved seeing all the pictures on your site. Thanks for sharing.

Dawn, that baby blanket is lovely and I know the mom and baby will love it.

Hugs,

Nora
