Only making one post in response as I'm on limited time at the moment; got to get to work here soon.

Thanks to everyone for the kind wishes. The day started out as normal, with work, kids, and household stuff; this stuff didn't stop when I had knee surgery 4-1/2 years ago, and it sure isn't gonna stop for my birthday. I did get taken to Benihana for dinner, which is always fun, then got a Carvel ice cream cake - chocolate with fudge and chocolate bits - at home. Gifts were a rose-scented candle, picked out by my youngest because it was pink (apparently, she did have to smell it to make sure it was nice, and it is), and the complete DVD set of Monty Python's Flying Circus, with 2 extra discs of live stuff. I have many hours of giggles coming up

I also got my latest KnitPicks order in the mail - woohoo!! Of course, seeing all those skeins of yarn made me realize that the time has come to buy a swift and ball winder...oh darn
