OT - By the way....

On Monday morning I took my car to the garage, and the problem turned out to be... the throttle something-or-other (I'm SO mechanical I can't stand myself. LOL). Apparently whatever it is, is something like the old carburators. Now the old carburators I know about. I used to have a car that the butterfly valve would stick on from time to time... my Dad showed me how to hold it open with a screwdriver before starting it... then take the screwdriver out, put the thing back together, put the hood down and drive off. ;o) WHY did they have to change things around... and turn the stupid engines sideways? I had a heck of a time finding the dip-stick to check the oil when I first got this van. Oh well, at least they found what it was and it wasn't too difficult for them to fix. I got it back in lots of time before having to head off to the specialist for the afternoon appointment.

Hi Gemini,

I know what you mean, they make it so hard to do anything and they keep changing where you check the oil with every model year. Good thing my arms aren't too short or I wouldn't be able to even reach the dipstick.

Hugs,

Nora

It might have been the "throttle body". My mechanic always cleans it if we have a problem with the accelerator sticking. Anyway, I'm glad to hear it wasn't a big deal to fix and that you're back "on the road again". ;>)
