Good luck with the party tomorrow, we are going to the soccer match here, our team need all the support they can get! They have still a microscopic chance to stay in our "premier league", and I do NOT dare to say load what I think:(whispering:I do not believe they will...:-< )

Have a good night's sleep, I pack away summer clothes, and "look over" the winter clothes!LOL! AUD ;-)

Hello everyone and a happy Sunday to all. It is jus three minutes into Sunday here and I am up late as I have been doing things for out football party tomorrow.

Every year we get together with my Brother in Law and Sister in Law for the Rugby League Final and this year is my turn to cater.

This one is special because for the first time the North Queensland team the "Cowboys" have made it to the final. So tomorrow I will be too busy cheering on the team to even have my morning coffee with you all ! So that is why I am getting in very early.

Have a great day and a good week to follow God Bless Gwen

LOL I momentarily forgot that you were posting from Australia, Gwen. When I saw your Sunday posting, I thought I had lost a day. hehehe

Your football party sounds good. When we watch the Superbowl (American football), Matthew's best friend comes to the house and I get everything ready to have Tacos. We actually have two huge trays made especially for Superbowl tacos (I think they were made by and for either Old El Paso, or Kraft... I can't remember which) with individual places to put the groundbeef, lettuce, grated cheese, chopped tomatoes, sour cream, and onions (for the guys... I can't eat onions). I put out the crunchy taco shells and soft taco shells beside the trays and we all fill our own the way we like them.

Peace! Gemini

Good afternoon (Saturday),

Here in Connecticut I'm waiting for the start of the New York Yankees / Boston Red Sox game - it's just the end of the regular season games, but people are treating it like the World Series. Here in Connecticut we're right in between Boston and New York, and the state is almost split down the middle as to who are NYY fans and who are Sox fans (Go Yankees !!!).

It's an absolutely gorgeous day, sunny, in the 70's, slight breeze ! I took Dusty to the park for a walk and it was just wonderful up there.

Happy Weekend to all,

Rusty in CT and Dusty Dog

Still Saturday here, Gwen. I have marking to do, plus some knitting to work on. It is wet and rainy here, so if I don't have to go out, I won't! Enjoy the Rugby!

Hello Gwen, it is 12:58 just past noon Saturday here. At least that is what my computer tells me. I am in the middle of doing computer work for our ederly friend in Toronto, and paused to take a break and nip in here to chat with friends for a while. It is a lovely day here, and I should be in the garden, exept for that we are still doing battle with a nasty wasp's nest. We pour boiling water on it every day at dusk, but they are precisting to hang around. We did try to spray from a distance but that did even less to help the situation, and I just don't want any more poison in the garden, so we work away with boiling water.

Our son in law, who is Australian, but was born in England...LOL...and now lives in Canada, is also rugby crazy, he loves the game, and has the scars to prove it. Have a great time together, and cheer on your favorite team, I am having to go back to my computer work

Aud, you are not cheering loud enough, you never know they may win......and there is the thing in order for one team to win ther also has to be a looser, as long as everyone gets a good workout and has fun, that is the main thing

Hi all - I have no idea what day or time it is -- my computer says Saturday 1:14 pm but since I just got back yesterday afternoon from France, my body is not convinced. I did go out in the garden and get a bit of sun which is supposed to help with the jet lag.

We had a great trip - a week in Paris followed by two in Provence and the French Riviera. It was pretty active though -- lots of walking and climbing involved in the final two week trip. Also lots of good food to eat - I suspect I didn't walk quite enough to keep from gaining some weight. I am glad we don't have those lovely patisseries in my town. I would be in real trouble.

DH is making lunch, so I had better go make appreciative noises.

ROTFL!!! Keith did not make dinner. I am not really hungry right now, but will have a salad soon, along with a nice little bread. Just perfect! Please send the sun. Today was totally dismal.

Els, the game is over, and the Yankees are in the playoffs. But Boston still has a chance to get in with the Wild Card. Tomorrow's game may settle it, or a playoff on Monday with Cleveland may be needed.

Oh, Judy, that sounds wonderful! I know what you mean about the patisseries, too!

Welcome home bonjour. Judy, linger just a little longer in all that lovely French admosphere. I can smell the metro smell in Paris, just talking about it. Must say it has been a while. Otto's sister has a chalet in the French Alps in Enbrun. When we were 25 year married she tooks us there for a holiday. It was marvelous. I also learned that there was a bucher in Enbrun who's family had moved to Ontario, and low and behold there is an Enbrun in Ontario....LOL

enjoy your weekend sleep a lot and welcome back

Somehow I think that we will not be getting any sun until winter comes. Then we will have sun and snow for months. This is a rainy fall, for sure!

Hello Aud - hope your team does well - it is late Sunday night here and *We Lost* Yuk.

Packing away summer or wither clothes is something I used to do when we lived down south but now it is the same all year - sometimes I wish we did get some real winter as I used to love suits with pretty blouses. God Bless Gwen
