PFFT! to legwarmers

Nothing like a success to wipe away the bitter memory of failure...

I made Mimi (my Shih Tzu) a heavyweight doggie sweater using this pattern:

I made it of a double-strand of worsted weight yarn, one purple (her color) and one pink (because it was what I had around that went best with it) so she would have a really warm sweater to wear when it was freezing out, as she already has a lighteweight sweater and a medium-weight fleece/supplex dog coat. It looks like a purple-and-white double strand where the purple yarn bled a bit into the white, but it looks nice.

Ah yes, but at the end of the day, we all know what we enjoy the most to wind down.... MAKING OURSELVES CRAZY WITH KNITTING!

MysWendy ,, i hope that was a joke ,,, no way do i make myself crazy with knitting , We have enough unkind words from those who don`t know/ enjoy/like knitting , why add such deffinitions to ourselves ,? I am immersed in knitting i like knitting , on the month with cast on arm i was unhappy for lack of ability to use my hand ,,,, i leave unkind terms to the Jealous unkind types , who are envieious of our gift of being able to fill out time with a creative craft/art ,, mirjam

Actually, knitting is not what I enjoy the most. Neither is sewing. What I like is the end product, which is a garment that has the right fiber content, is the right color, and fits far superior to what I can find in ready-to-wear (and I can't afford to have clothes made for me) so I focus on the goal.

GOOD GRIEF GUYS, IT WAS A JOKE. Sigh. If we didn't love it, we wouldn't do it.

Ah, a sister in spirit. I feel that way about knitting, sewing, crochet etc., but I was taught not to sit with idle hands so I knit etc.in front of the tv, at meetings, sitting in waiting rooms etc. so that the time is not wasted. (Of course, the admiration I get from friends when I appear in something custom hand made doesn't hurt).
