Sharing Knitting Pictures

Hi, DA! I just 'tested' two pic postings there... however, I can't GET it through 3 of my newsgroup servers, but CAN get it through my ISP server... strange. Thanks, Noreen

Google groups doesn't support it but I'm assuming many of us have photo pages or websites?

The one I see used is alt.binaries.crafts.pictures. There's also alt.binaries.pictures.crafts.d that isn't being used.

Maybe there are some members of the group who don't have web space, or don't know how to upload to a site. DA

The binaries .d groups are usually used for discussion. :) DA

The `.d' would indicate it's to discuss items posted to abpc group.

There are some really good free photo hosting websites available if anyone's interested. I don't use them but google should turn up a few.

Yahoo has free space available for photo albums and it's very easy to upload pictures. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can, plus I have dial-up. ;>)

Go to yahoo.com and click on "Yahoo! Photos".

Yay!!! I couldn't see them myself until I clicked on the link below. I deleted the one of Buffy by herself, since it's the same picture. I wasn't sure what I was doing so I ended up with her there twice. :o)

I *still* haven't found the picture I used to have of me on my website... it's around somewhere on a disk. I'll keep looking over the next few days. Also, I don't have any pictures of things that I have made... I was sure we had taken some, but maybe they just didn't turn out. *shrug* Ah well, my stuff is nowhere as nice or fancy as any of yours anyway, so I'll just stick with people pictures.... I like that best anyway. ;o)

For some reason I can't get the picture of Matthew to load on there. I guess because it's not in jpg. *shrug* Oh well... maybe when he comes home in a couple of weeks. He's staying at a friend's house in the nearby city for 2 1/2 weeks... I brought him in today and he'll come home on November 13th... he will be able to go job hunting everyday while staying in the city, and already has a few places lined up to apply to. I will miss him very much, being as we've only been apart for two weeks before when I was in England, but I have the phonenumber where he's staying in case of emergencies, and he says he is going to call home to check on me in the evenings to make sure I'm okay. I *will* be seeing him again tomorrow as we have appointments at the doctor at the same time, I got my flu shot two weeks ago, but Matthew will be getting his tomorrow.

I am under strict orders *ahem* not to do anything I shouldn't be doing that I could end up hurting myself. Of course that doesn't mean that I will sit here and do nothing at all the whole time, I'm too stubborn for that. LOL I have to do something to pass the time... but I won't be going upstairs, or down in the recroom, just do stuff around the main floor. The main good thing about Matthew being away for that long..... I get to play on the computer as long as my body will allow me to sit here, or until I get tired.

:o) Thank you! Note the chewed arm of the chair by Casper.... that's where he did his teething when he was a tiny puppy. He laid claims to that chair then as his bed.... but he also sleeps with "Mama" too. ;o)

By the way, his nose isn't really *that* long.... he was being curious as to what I had in my hand, and then proceeded to tell me off when I snapped the picture and the flash went off at him. LOL
