SNOW!

(growl) One of my least favourite four letter words. We got over a foot yesterday, and it looks like we are up to that again already today. I think we are going to have a white Christmas, like most other years.

And here I am thinking about hauling my kid north so he can see some snow. Poor child has a Yankee for a mother and wouldn't know snow if it walked up and shook his hand :)

I got all ready to hunker down for the No'Easter that was coming to Connecticut - even picked up an extra Dunkin Donuts coffee yesterday. They talked and talked about the coming storm, the state trucks getting ready with the sand and the plows !!!

Woke up to a little bitty dusting of snow; there were no school cancellations, not even school delays !

It seems that the storm went out to sea before it got to Connecticut.

Here I sit with the bought-yesterday coffee wondering why we have weathermen - they certainly know nothing about weather.

Norma, I would be very happy for you if you would like to just keep all of that snow right there with *you*... I don't want it thank you anyway! LOL

hehehe You'll have to help him build a snowman and then he can shake the snowman's hand.... although that could traumatize him if the hand came off. ;o)

Hi Gem,

Oh, I agree with you, now if there was only some way we could send it all down to Wooly it would be all right with me.

I agree with Rusty, the weathermen with all the modern equipment don't know what to look for on it. Even the trusted Weather Channel doesn't get it right.

Hugs,

Nora

Last year my BIL's family from South Carolina were coming to Ohio for xmas. My nephew had never seen snow and that's all he talked about before their trip. We ended up getting 2 ft of snow that started while they were traveling to get here. The nephew got his wish and we got to blame him for all of the snow :)

Although personally, if it's going to be as cold as it is now, I prefer to see snow with it. Now the cold is just really annoying

I'm in CT, too and I've got snow still on the ground from the Sat/Sun snowstorm. Also had about 4-5" on Thanksgiving. Hope it's not going to be one of those winters like last year when my snowplower, Nick, was here so often I almost claimed him as a dependent.

Oh thanks for the sympathy Gem! I really appreciate it. You are lucky I don't live closer - I'd take a snowball down and hit you! LOL

Hello Norma,

We have about five inches on the ground. I am not a snow fan.

we got about 3inches here in Richmond, Va. just enough to make it a pretty "Winter Wonderland" and not be stuck in it. Love the weather here, hot in summer and cold in winter. Having too much back pain to go play in it,have a Dr. appt in the morning to see if its a pulled muscle,or arthritis. My dog loves to play in snow with me, we are supposed to get more friday, hope I am better by then. Have a good day, Jenny

Hi Jenny,

Sorry to hear about the back, hope it's nothing serious. You can keep the snow down there, we have a couple of inches and that's enough for me. We are supposed to get some more on Friday, but the way the weathermen have missed, I can hope they do again.

Hugs,

Nora

Hi, Norma!

Wow! that is quite a bit of snow. I bet it is beautiful. They are predicting freezing rain/sleet after midnight for us with very cold temperatures Wednesday and Thursday with lots of wind.

Take care and stay warm, BonnieBlue P.M.
