Tapimatic rug machine

Hello Does anyone out there know a source for the backing needed for the Tapimatic rug making machine? It is a type of latch hook backing with a double mesh, 3.3 holes. It has to be double mesh. The Zweigert mesh I tried did not work. I would really like to be able to use the machine. Thanks, Mike

Hey Mike I have the machine as well.... I was diaappointed to hear thet the double stranded zweigert did not work. I had taken a piece of my origina l mesh and laid it over a zweigert sample and they matched. Let me know h ow you make out with this... ( snipped-for-privacy@hotmail.com)

Hi Mike. Does anyone still create with the rug maker? Hope so. I still have mine.

There's an off-chance that the cogs are standard and can be replaced.

Thank you so much Joy. The rug maker still has a lot to offer.,Do you have any idea where I could get replacement please. I have a table made especially for it.

I haven't a clue. You might try posting in rec.arts.sf.fandom with the subject line "AKICF: rug-loom cogs"

AKICF stand for "All knowledge is contained in fandom."

It seems like the sort of post that would start a long and complicated thread branching into several unrelated topics, and r.a.s.f. has been slow of late.

Hi Jen, there is a Tapimatic for sale on the Goodwill website very cheaply. Might be a good option. Anne
