this yarn needs a pattern/plan--please help!

Scoured Donegal Homespun Made in Ireland for Tahki Imports Net wt when packed 4 ozs, 113.4 grs Approx 425 yards $2.50 Pure new wool Registered trademark

I count approx 18 wraps per inch, making it suitable for something lacy maybe. There's a little *oth damage (two breaks spotted so far). The yarn is a single (no plies) and has a kink or two every inch.Given the price on the lable, it might qualify as an antique! The color is split-pea green which I am planning to change by means of Berry Blue Kool-aid (though that's open to suggestion, too).

I'm not usually a lace-wearing person, but you never know, right?

Does anyone have any ideas for what I might do with this?

TIA, Michal

18 wraps per inch is roughly 8 or 9 stitches per inch in stockinette, but in lace it would stretch bigger, right?

It's probably best to rewind it, to examine every inch carefully. Luckily, it's wool, so the breaks can be wet-spliced.

Green plus blue makes aqua... could be very pretty.

If you don't want to do lace, it sounds as though there is enough for a hat, bag, scarf, or mittens. The overspun kinks might make it bias; maybe you could ply it on itself to get about 55gr of 2ply, which could make a solid hat or neckwarmer or a short lacey scarf.
