update on sock knitting

I started after a lot of help and encouragement last night. First time knitting on the round with 4 needles. have done the rib and knitted down as far as dividing ready for the heel. Will continue tonight. It is so much fun to do and so simple so far that I can't believe I've been putting it off for so many years before trying it out.

Now we have you, heh heh heh. Sock knitting is addictive, and once you've worn hand knitted socks they will become the socks of choice. Marie and the cats

LOL, yep you have me drooling over sock wool on the net and self striping wool ;o) DS aged 14 thinks I've finally flipped and I am thinking of changing handbag/purse to a bigger one to fit my socks in progress in! Signs of addiction to be sure lol

Nope he won't lol, he has started buying his own needles and yarn. Puts them in a different place to mine. We have a law in our house, what's his is mine and what is mine is my own LOL works well for us ;o)

Heh heh heh... another one... hehehehehe.

Welcome. I started in October. I've branched out into hats and mittens, but still have socks on the go - more than one at a time.

I want a shirt that says "Socks Addict" but am afraid someone would just think I can't spell and get the wrong idea.

That is exactly why I have a variety of purses & totes. I drag my knitting/crocheting with me everywhere. Even to the friendly neighborhood pub where we all gathered to watch the football playoffs LOL. I work on socks during my lunch breaks at work. My co workers and the customers are fascinated (I'm the only one there that knits- there were several of us at my last store). A few minutes here and there add up fast! I can get a pair of socks finished in 5 days just using my spare minutes! Don't worry about DS, I've made both my sons' girlfriends hats, slippers, afghans and they think they are the greatest. And my SoooooCoooool 19 y.o. loves his *home made* alpaca hat so much he wants me to make him more stuff. Yarn addiction is normal. Marie and the cats
