WWKIP Day

We can't all go to Tennessee on June 10 but what about all of us going out to knit in public that day. Then we could come back and report our experiences so put it on your calendar. And what about planning a WWC(rocheting)IP day too?

I had a little experience, as an observer, with knitting in public yesterday. As I was walking through the nearby park on my way to the farmers market, I noticed a young man sitting on a bench and knitting. Most people would walk on by but this knitter has to stop to see what he is making. From a distance, I thought it was socks but I found he was making wool mittens. He acknowledged it not exactly the season for mittens but reminded me "winter is coming" which is a often heard expression in Minnesota at any time of the year.

I can do that. But not in Tennessee, unfortunately. I'll do it here, and report back.

There is an international sock knitting day in Victoria, but it is on a different day later in the month. The knitting day in esquimalt is June the 11th

Thanks for the info Noreen. I will be knitting in public on June 10th. It's something I tend to do anyway, but I'll make a point of it!
