Update: StitchBuddy - Embroidery on Macs

  1. About StitchBuddy ==================== StitchBuddy is the hobby-oriented solution for Apple Macintosh users. It consists of three parts, serving different needs in perfect harmony:

a) StitchBuddy is a stand-alone shareware application to modify embroidery designs: you can rotate, flip and convert embroideries, print and copy them as a graphic. It is possible to save designs and convert them between the different file formats.

b) StitchBuddy-QL is a free QuickLook plugin to preview embroidery design in Mac OS X Finder and other QuickLook enabled applications.

c) StitchBuddy-MD is a free Spotlight-Plugin to search for embroidery designs based on their meta data.

  1. Update: StitchBuddy version 1.1 ================================== All StitchBuddy products are updated to new versions, providing the following general features:

- support of Husqvarna Viking / Pfaff VP3 files

- support of color palettes (Madeira, Sulky, Robison-Anton) incl. coloring of DST / EXP files

The standalone application StitchBuddy v1.1 includes some further improvements:

- optional display of jump stitches and grid

- enabling of 3D effects has been moved to the "View" menu

- selection of thread colors via Mac OS X color picker (incl. color list, search, RGB colors)

- automatic color matching when switching to a different palette

- free rotations with any angle

- print options: 3D effects, jump stitches, grid

StitchBuddy v1.1 is a free update for all registered users.

  1. Update: StitchBuddy-QL / -MD version 1.2 =========================================== Both plugins are now able to handle Husqvarna Viking / Pfaff VP3 files. In addition they process external thread files, which StitchBuddy creates to hold extended color information.

The plugins for QuickLook and Spotlight are available for free.
