Torch, furnace, glass, beads, etc.

Anyone have any info URLs' on how to melt and work with glass? Make beads? Know of any glass, bottles-jars-junk glass, which can be melted and worked with just a plain propane torch?

I have seen charcoal furnaces which can melt aluminum and brass (possibly iron) on the net--anyone used one of these with glass?

You might try doing a search on your own...like with Google. you can melt just about any glass with a torch but you'll want some oxy going with it for more heat. Plus, a jar or bottle is a pretty big piece of glass to be heating on a torch...especially for beginner. Most furnaces for melting glass are run on either electric or natural gas.
