only slightly OT: tunisian crochet

Think a slightly bluer version of chartreuse.

I wouldn't mind one of those for after work lounging (be it paid labor or just Mom-work).

Tight shirt, tight jeans, and baby doll "cardigan". Looks really dumb. To unfashionable me that is....

If you have any interest in sewing, that's a very easy dress to make because it doesn't have to fit particularly well.

Though I don't want polyester, nor lime green lol

Lots of the clothing I wore back then looks really dumb to me today. As a teenager I pranced around in rolled up boys dungarees (girls had hips and didn't fit me) and my father's white dress shirt hanging out, down past my knees and with the sleeves rolled up. I look back at those things and have to wonder "What was I thinking?"

Remember too, I was a teenager when we wore full skirts with crinolines underneath and felt poodle skirts with socks and white buck shoes. "Just Stunning."

ROFL

Ginger got a really good deal on a house because everyone else could only see the 70s decor. Her DH is a retired contractor and could see that it had good bones. They were the only people to put in a bid on this horror, so they got it for a song. And proceeded to re-do it in white/Colonial blue/dusty rose accents. A couple months after buying the house, DH ran into a buddy who's an appraiser and asked him to drop by informally. His assessment was that just by changing the paint, carpet and appliances the house was worth double what they'd paid for it.

I know that - I might have to do that.... C

Lime green isn't the issue, as long as it's not neon bright.

Polyester - no way...

Oh come on!! Just think of all those "polyesters" that are becoming an endangered species and may disappear from the earth. Do you want them to go away like the "naugas" we used to know and love??? Shame on you !!!!!

Giggling - I had a pair of red jeans - I thought I looked so cool in them. Or plaid - loud plaid - pants.

Interesting that you mentioned a plaid. I went with a friend this afternoon to return something at T.J.Maxx and came home with a pair of plaid bermuda shorts.
