Next time you get back to NY, Lucille, have my mom and dad take you to the place that serves Fish & Chips. (gummi fish and smashed potato chips) Dad tried it. Personally, I stuck to Peconic Swamp Thang (similar to Rocky Road).

I'm afraid to tell you that neither of those sound great to me either. Anything more exotic that mint chip, or maybe cherry vanilla, is too much for me.

LOL, no. :-)

M&M Meats is a company that specializes in frozen foods. Probably started as meats only, but have branched out. I knew it sounded odd when I wrote it.

I'm rather off them. I like their stuff, though it's pricey in most cases but I bought something one day and put it on my visa. A month or so later it appeared on my statement and I was damned if I could think what I bought and the name showing was one of the biggest crooks in town.

I called visa and they sent me a copy and said often that type of billing presents problems when one checks. I hadn't particularly realized they were a franchise and certainly will not buy again here and put money in that man's pocket lol

I mark it up to the price of convenience. though I'm finding more and more options these days. There are a couple of places that make fresh pasta and sell it with a packaged sauce. Even one that offers a "pick up your meal on the way home" place.

But it is nice to pick up a dozen single serving portions and bung them in the freezer for lunches. I've tried most brands, and their seem far superior in taste and comparable in calories (I.E. it's not all full of rich stuff upping the calorie content).

That I can understand and respect.

We have two or three of those 'pick up your meal on the way home' places and another one is a chef with whom you settle for a menu of things for the freezer. He comes to your home, with groceries, prepares everything and places it in the freezer with full instructions for how to heat and serve lol I reckon pretty soon we will be able to breed children without legs or hands lol

I liked M&M's for their little hors doovers that could be produced at a moments notice, oh well.

Hmmm. My alternate thought was it was a typo of a mix: M&M (candy) meets Caramel Praline Passion. That sounds rather yummy.

This reminds me of one of my funniest DD stories. We'd been in Britain on vacation when she was 4 y.o., and a few weeks after our return we rented a beach house with a bunch of my old high school friends. DD was sitting at the kitchen counter, with a plate of mounded Pepperidge Farm cheddar cheese goldfish on one half, and a mound of potato chips on the other.

My friend looked at it and said, "Lexa, I think you might want to put something more substantial on that plate. How about a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?"

And without missing a beat, DD looked up, and said, "What? This is fish and chips!"
