Ah, DH surprising me with photos of piece at show which got a Blue Ribbon (I didn't know) First piece I ever entered - Pine tree sampler from Hillside Samplings - just put it in because it was in the shop as a framing model - and sent it to the Sampler Guild show. Very surprised.

Whole family at grandparents for some holiday dinner. Both sets of grandparents - we were lucky that there was not that whose side of the family thing with my parents. Beach club - same deal. And my first seriuos horseback riding lesson when I was about 7, and they had to roll the leathers around the stirrup (I was in the bigger kids class)

Parking lot attendant in undergrad, research assistant doing car crash research & stats analysis (real money), cashier in a nice catalog kind of showroom store, Radio Shack - lots of fun, UPS - worked nightside in the district office, engineering assist for PepsiCo, camp cousnelor - thru high school/college/grad school summers - ran riding program for a while, taught riding, and then was camp administrator - great fun. Cooking for some guys in undergrad school (got to eat for free) Research Engineer/Scientist - real job at a big R&D lab, then overseeing testing facilities, experimental R&D at an HQ kind of agency. Starbucks barista/supervisor. LNS - shop assist & framer. Own company doing event planning/organizing and some NP design. Hockey Ref - best job ;^) Oh, yeah - EMT (ride as a volunteer) getting cert back to full Paramedic

  1. Project from Hell? Native American wedding - lovely words. Design looked wonderful on paper, but looks awful stitched. I think I`ll do the words and use a "Wampum" type border from a Native American design book I have. Want it for my son`s wedding - don`t know when that`s going to be though.
