I love Owls

An outdoor shower is always available here. You just toss a bar of soap into the leg of a pair of panty hose and tie it around an outdoor faucet. However - if you think for one minute that a shower in 40° is an option - them's fightin' words. We showered outdoors for many weeks after Katrina but it was a bit warmer then. The fellows all said that cold water made them scream like girls. Indeed, it did. Polly

I second, third & fourth putting a chair in the shower. Even if you stand while showering, it's nice to know you have the option of sitting down if you need to. Did someone say to put a towel on the chair for you to sit on? That's a good idea too. There isn't anything better than showering in your own bathroom after being in the hospital for awhile. No matter how many sponge baths you get in the hospital, I just feel cleaner when I can take a shower at home - and wash my hair - heaven!!! Even better than s.e.x. at the quilt shop!!

Sandy: Thanks for the pictures. I hope I won that Donation Quilt. I did not buy a ticket only because I was not at the show. Still, I deserve it!!! Snicker, PAT

Last time I was in the RGV, Sept.2001, we went to the local funeral home to make plans for my dad's remains. In the conference room was a large quilt hanging on the wall, "borrowed" from the RGV Quilt Guild. One of the guild's founding members was also a member of the funeral home's family, and had a long-term contract for borrowing the quilt. Nice touch.
