I love Owls

I love Owls and I love this new design from McKenna Ryan but it just isn't affordable. Ah well, maybe another day? jennellh

You NEED that quilt. It has your name written all over it. Could you start clipping coupons? sell off a few naughty QIs? Have a birthday? Got to be a way. Polly

Could you be satisfied with just one of the individual patterns??? Her patterns are gorgeous & I love her choice of fabrics.

Jennellh It's a beautiful quilt - maybe you could manage to buy one pattern at a time - one a month? That would give you a great project for 2010!

You could just do one or two of the blocks. You can also wait awhile and this series will probably go down some in price when the next series is introduced. Sometimes folks get rid of kits/patterns they don't use on Ebay also. Maybe there is another day if you are patient. TAria

I had my eye on that for my mom, Jennell. It's a really cool pattern. But I decided it was pretty pricey too...and I'd probably never get it done. She has thousands of owls in her collection....I doubt if she will miss not having this one. And I have a couple other owl quilt patterns I haven't made yet.

What a simply beautiful quilt. I think I will save my pennies and buy the pattern to make it for myself.

Thank you for posting the website.

What other owl patterns?? I have had several new owlie additions this past year as gifts - including a barnowl coffee mug that Sis bought in the Castle Howard gift shop in Sept. Our Mum grew up in a cottage on the estate when her father worked on the land - the stories that she had to tell of life there. I did christen the mug but I prefer not to use this one regularly (just in case). jennellh

Her last pattern series of the arctic animals was also appealing to me just for the fun of it. jennellh

Oh, I shouldn't have looked. I just love her patterns. They are all so beautiful. But, as you said they are really expensive, and not in my budget either. Thanks for the peek. Hope you can at least get one or two for yourself.

This is one of them. The other one, as I remember, is probably a self published pattern. By that I mean I doubt if it was carried extensively by stores and catalogues. I'll try to remember to check on it when I get back downstairs to my sewing room. The pattern had simple blocks of different applique owl characters....almost cartoony....but not quite.
