OT: Back after a long hiatus

I'm back after 4 months. I went to Paducah then everything went to heck (again!) at work and beyond.

I've hardly done any quilting at all, but did finally finish all of my bluework teapot blocks. Since David was camping over the weekend, I also managed to get the top together, except for the border. I'm still thinking that one over.

Since its only taken 5 years to embroider the blocks, I think I'll hand quilt it. That should be good for another couple of years.

Happy dances for everyone who has finished things, HUGS and prayers for everyone who needs them.

Maureen

P.S. Only 73 messages this morning? Have you all gotten really quiet on me. Or do I need to find a new newsgroup reader?

You work for the state of Illinois? Well then of course.

Take a deep breath, fondle the fabric, and - when you are home, leave work at work. Easier said than done, I know. But you need it, and you are worth the effort. You are more important than the job stuff.

Can we see the blue tea cups?

Yes. The State job is so goofy right now. And now that the budget of the constitutional officer we work with and one of our sister Agency's budgets have both been cut by our wonderful gov. what will happen this fall is anyone's guess. We could be in for some really nasty inter-Agency fights over money. Could be good or bad--if the management types decide to stop speaking again we could get a couple of months with not much travel etc. If we're being passive-aggressive again I may never see the inside of my sewing room.

I'll post pics of the teapots in progress as soon as I can. Now that Apple has switched .Mac to MobileMe i have to figure out how to get the pics up again. I'm sure it happens through iPhoto somehow, but I've got to find an hour or so to poke around.
