OT: but it's still about fabric :)

I haven't done much in the past few days, not feeling terribly well. But yesterday morning DH fixed breakfast for us both and then said "Let's go to Ephrata this morning." My early morning brain couldn't unwind why he would want to go to this little town about 45 mins. away and asked only to hear my darling dear sweet husband say "I heard there's a great quilt shop there."

Wow. What a quilt shop it is. Great fabric, great prices, and best of all incredible people. They chatted, visited, compared, looked up books I had no intention of buying, showed my husband the Gamill, showed me the too-cute clogs two of them were wearing. I ended up buying less than I wanted to, but more than I intended.

We brought home our purchases (yes, our) and today we recovered the living room lampshades. Pretty, pretty, pretty. I'm really excited about it. It makes our living room look like a different place. DH is thrilled and very impressed that I knew how to do it without getting books or such. I posted pics.

I probably won't be on much for the next few days. I'm having a bit of a flare-up of my physical problems and am in a good bit of discomfort. But I did want to show you that even when I'm not up to quilting, sometimes I manage to do something that deserves a tiny little happy dance. :)

Peace and much good work, Sunny

Sunny, they're lovely -- especially the one with the Oriental print! I'm impressed, since I haven't the slightest idea of how to do that.

I hope you feel better very soon. :)

Very nice! Small things can make quite a difference in a room. I get those nasty 'flare-ups' also. Pamper yourself, hope it doesnt last too long.

Sunny, your lampshades look AMAZING! I'm sorry you're not feeling well and hope you feel better soon. Wish my hubby would do something like that. I know better than to go into a fabric store with him for very long. ;-) Debi
