OT - Di Curtis where are you???

After googling RCTQ for a good marshmallow fudge recipe (not using fluff), I came across a post where you stated (and I quote ) "Swedish Coffee bread and pickled herring are my two must haves".

I can really do without the pickled herring but would you mind posting the recipe for the Coffee bread? Pretty Please? With ....ummm.....pickled herring on top?

Many many thanks

It would be my pleasure. Truffles. :)

Swedish Coffee Bread

4 cups white flour 1 1/4 cups lukewarm milk 1 package yeast (2 1/4 tsp) 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 egg 1/2 cup melted butter 1/4 tsp salt 10 cardamom seeds, ground in mortar and pestle OR 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

This is the recipe my mom gave me. She would put the yeast > After googling RCTQ for a good marshmallow fudge recipe (not using fluff), I

LOL - no! I got carried away looking at other stuff and completely forgot. I'd love yours if it's no trouble. I need it for Kiddy Kooking today or tomorrow.

Don't count too much on fixin'. Our evening tv news usually has an interesting story about animals. There was one last week about a zoo's chimpanzee that they thought was past childbearing age. She gave birth. The mystery increased as the zoo employees stated that all of the chimp fellers had been fixed. Can you imagine paternity tests at a zoo? Well. That is what is going on now. Mother and child are doing well and they are not telling. Polly

Well, I suppose if you want to get picky....a zoo might want to know who the parents are to avoid any genetic mingling in the future. I think that sort of thing is closely monitored in zoo populations. KJ

Ha! That is nothing. The London zoo has had two Komodo Dragons reproduce by parthenogenesis within the last year. Makes me damn glad I am not a reptile!

Besides it wuld be really hard to rotary cut with those paws.
