OT Digital Camera Recommendations?

Well, it was over a year ago that our Digital Camera broke. We need to get a new one. This is related to quilting because I want to take it to quilt shows, and maybe even post some photos of my quilts. We also want it for family and travel photos. It must do all this, be very user friendly, and not cost a major fortune. What is your experience? Recommendations? TIA, PAT in VA/USA

Look at Cannon, I love my "sure shot". Of course there are sooooo many others! I even saw a tiny video camera for only $99.00 US, not a Cannon.

By the way I went to a quilt show in Bridgewater, VA, last sunday. It was a small guild show, they did have vendors, but the best part was the CD that they were selling. It had pictures of all of the quilts in the show, with the names of the makers, for $5.00! I could have taken pictures, but I would not have taken them of all of the quilts. And, think of the cost if you were using a "film" camers! There were 200 quilts in the show. I bought the CD.

My Cannon is 5mp and uses a rechargable battery, I have two, plus I have three memory cards. The camera plugs into the USB port on either my desk top PC or the laptop.

We love our Sony Cybershots. Mine is 5mp and DH's is 7mp. We each have a spare rechargeable battery and we share memory sticks.
