OT: I'm back!!!! & a little on topic

Hi everyone, wow what a lot of messages in a month!!!

Well, we've moved "in" to our new house! That is, we are living in the campervan in the garden, whilst the garden is being destroyed/dug up for the septic tank and the sandbed!

Our lives are still in boxes and will be for a little while!! Can't find my sewing bits yet, grrr, you know that little bag with your favourite scissors and thimbles etc, that one you keep with you....I put it somewhere safe and obvious and now can't find it. Just as well really, cause I haven't the time to sew!!

Have made a good start, but time seems to go so fast and I never seem to finish as much as I want. I keep looking in the garden and dreaming of what I'm going to do. So far we've had blackberries and grapes, a few pears and apples as well.

This house seems to be too good to be true at the moment, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed as we decorate it, it will feel more like ours. The worse job to tackle is the sanding and varnishing of parquet floors, but never mind.

I don't know what else to tell you, we've only had internet connection for a day, so it is so great to be in touch with the outside world again.

Oh yes, we had our exhibition, which was received well, except for one complaint on the way we labeled our quilts, surname first, they said that they preferred first names first - no pleasing everyone is there! Mind you, if that is all they could complain about, then that wasn't too bad!

Take care and I'll call by again soon,

Hey Janner

You have apples!!!! Oh my, just think tree ripened apples for cakes and pies. All we get here is apples that are picked while still green then shipped. Hard as a rock with all kinds of bruises.

Ah to taste a fully tree ripened apple again. I'm jealous (giggle).

Welcome back! and I hope you discover that little bag soon. Putting something important in a special place to keep it safe has always insured that I'll discover it... a few years later. I hope you don't have my luck on that one!

Congratulations on the semi-move, Janner! And on the exhibition, of course. It's good to "see" you again, and I hope the septic tank is quickly finished so you can get into the house itself. :)

Great to hear from you Janner! Sounds like things are moving along, albeit with a detour for the septic system. Still, it's pretty exciting. Hopefully, you'll get a chance to show us some pictures of your new place?

As for your missing sewing "bits", I can't tell you how many things I've lost by putting them in the dreaded "safe place". No worries--they'll all show up after you've spent the money to replace them. ;-)

Yeah, we are chatty here! Glad to hear you are safe and sound in your camper. You'll be back in the house in no time. I can sympathize with you on renovations. Just finished the kitchen, starting on the bathroom, and having a garage sale inbetween. Phew! I think we deserve a break and tea, whattya think?

Oh yes please, a lovely cup of tea and some biscuits as well or maybe some chocolate cake?

Lets make a party of it!

Don't mention kitchens, I don't know what I want yet. All we have is a sink, under the window which will be moved and the rest is bare....

To think that when we were renting we were bored and had nothing to do - it is either flood or famine :P)

Bye for now, will be around later for that cuppa....
