OT: Looking for a fruit dip recipe

I'm looking for a cream cheese fruit dip recipe for some dip that came on one of those premade fruit trays. I have a recipe for a cream cheese dip that makes a caramely tasting dip that is good, but we all really loved this stuff. The ingredients list on the container is cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla. The dip is white so the sugar is the regular kind not brown sugar which every thing I've found seems to call for. It sounds easy enough to play with to figure out if you enjoy that sort of thing, but I'm not the type that enjoys cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. I was hoping that someone here would have a recipe for something that sounds like it is similar. I've tried some internet searching, but so far I'm not finding what I want.

TIA for any help you can give!!!

Howdy!

Super easy, 2 ingredients, disappears every time it shows up, there are never leftovers. :

MARSHMALLOW FRUIT DIP

1 (9 oz.) jar marshmallow crème/cream 8 oz. cream cheese, softened Combine marshmallow crème/cream and cream cheese in bowl; blend well. Chill in refrigerator. Serve with pineapple chunks, mandarin orange sections, strawberries, grapes, dates, bananas and/or apple wedges.

This is a welcome relief from all the heavy sweets at the dessert table, because it include FRUIT! And if you have to, you can use it on cookies & fruit breads, too. I put some chopped dates in it & served it w/ Boston Brown Bread-- yum!

Cheers! R/Sandy

what i'd do takes longer than the rest. i drain the whey off a big carton of plain yogurt, takes a day or so, then use that as the base of sweet or savoury dips. sieve over bowl, paper coffee filter(or several layers of paper towel works too) in sieve, pour yogurt into this, put in the fridge while draining. the drain time depends on how thick you want the mixture. i loooooove yogurt so works for me. added advantage is the pro-biotics in yogurt.

Not a cream cheese dip but I love this one.

1 sm pkg instant vanilla pudding 3T orange juice 1 cup milk 2 cups of Cool Whip.

Mix it up, refrigerate and enjoy.

One that I have done that is simple and wonderful is simply cream cheese and a jar of marshmallow creme. This or Cool Whip can be used, with only a slight change in texture as a difference, Heavenly!

Cream Cheese Fruit Dip:

250g cream cheese, softened 3 tablespoons sugar 1 cup sour cream 1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine all ingredients and beat until smooth and creamy.

Variations: Stir in 1 cup pureed raspberries or other berries. Or, add grated rind of 1 lemon, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 1 extra tablespoon sugar.
