OT: strange happenings

I belong to several Yahoo groups. That's fine; they give me lots of great information about a variety of topics in which I'm interested. However, today I was automatically "enrolled" in a group ("femcj") which I'm certain I've never requested to join.

I looked carefully at the URL, which was a valid Yahoo group URL, before clicking on it. It then wanted me to set a profile, which I've never had to do before when asking to join a group. I've unsubbed, of course, but I was curious as to whether anyone here knew anything about that group.

I think I'm hearing strange music in a minor key in the background ....

You were hijacked. I googled femcj. It's a phrase used by a lot of sex sites and although I didn't go into any of the sites, it seems from what I did see that they are very ..... um, visually interesting. Sandy, you must be one good-lookin' woman if they want you bad enough to grab you off the street, so to speak. Hehe that music wasn't Jaws or Twilight Zone, it was burlesque hurly-burly.
