I love the BBC (and now in US as well) program where the two ladies come into deplorably dirty homes and clean them. Do people really truly live like that? Homes that look so normal on the outside... so absolutely filthy on the inside. We're not talking clutter... we're talking dirt! and worse... piles of cat and/or dog poo never cleaned up. Urine stained carpets. Food baked onto stovetops an inch thick.

What amazes me is that they actually get things clean... like bathtubs that were Ewwwwwwww... beyond belief.. .sparkling shiny! I wonder how many hours it took to get through the layers of crud?

Sure makes me feel like a clean freak! (which anyone who knows me is clearly NOT the case!)

Now tell me... "How Clean Is Your House???"

Rome. A horrid show for kids, and it came on at 8pm :( But it was my all time fav show. Quite inappropriate on many levels, but my fav show both english and american lol. I cant think of one part of it I didnt like... I never ever cry in shows but I did during this one... especially the last episode.

"Keeping Up Appearances" - Hyacinth Bucket (ooooops, that's boo-kay') "Are you Being Served?" - painting the break room was one of my favorites, reminded me of Lucy and Ethel "As Time Goes By" - love Judi Dench

And wasn't "Dancing With the Stars" British before it became American? Or was it Australian first?

I haven't seen enough of "Black Adder" to decide. Love the costumes.

"Midsommer Murders" "Hot Gear" "Waking The Dead" Usually any of the mystery/murder types. "Doctor Who" and "Torchwood". I'm a bit of a sci-fi fan but have been disappointed with the last Dr Who season. "Little Britain" "Doc Martin" "The Last Detective" Ok, I'll stop now.........Wendy

that one doesn't ring a bell. but if you think about it many of the older programmes were slightly if not very inappropriate and definitively *not* PC

ohhhhhhh... i love waking the dead too! I stopped with Dr. who after the new cyborg one - too realistic for my overactive imagination..

The current shows are Dr Who and (I think the latest series) Silent Witness, which started Friday night. I also like Spooks, get to watch Time Team occassionally and the odd episode of The Bill ....umm there seems to a pattern here....

I really enjoy Dr. Who! I also like Masterpiece Theatre and Mystery. Those are the only shows that I think are shown here. Sometimes there are some sit-com types like Faulty Towers which would crack my DH and I up....very enjoyable.

We have a 9.00p.m. watershed in the UK - after this time programmes with an adult content, bad language, etc can be shown. However so many children have tv in their rooms....... Mine never did; I just don't see how you can control how much and what tv they watch if you are downstairs watching and they are upstairs 'sleeping' and watching goodness knows what.
