OT:back from the beach

We came home from the beach late Tuesday. It was cold, windy and rainy Tuesday and the same is in the forecast the rest of week. Came home to wind, cold and rain here. Also came home to 4 trees down in the backyard, no damage to anything, and a comfortable, warm, house. I hope to start sewing again in a day or so, maybe start a little mischief here, and have a good time for myself.:>

Oh, dear! I hate losing trees, and it is so expensive to have a crew come remove all the debris. I'm glad your home didn't suffer any damage.

This pot definitely needs stirring, it's mighty quiet. ;-}

Glad to know your home is safe and warm. I need to get back to the sewing machine, too. I start a project, then have to stop for doctor visits, eye checks, etc till I am really behind.

Two sisters and two DDs have birthdays soon; I am embroidering a wall hanging for the DSs and one DD. The other DD sews/embroiders as well as me, so she will get a gift card to a sewing store.

Welcome home!!! Glad the trees were careful choosing where to fall. If you have a fireplace, you'll have plenty of firewood next year. If not, post it on Craig's List and someone with a fireplace will come get it. (seriously, that's what several people around here did after the ice storm in January. Great solution.)

And we can always count on you to start a little mischief right?? ;)

Good to have you back.

Which is why I've had him in my "ignore sender" file for YEARS. Life's too short to deal with people like that. The only time I usually see his pointless, acrimonious diatribes are when someone else quotes them. I try to resist firing back directly. I am convinced that, like a two-year-old child, he craves the attention and is really eager for the responses.

Too, when people online are really obnoxious, I tell myself they are probably somewhere in the online galleries on peopleofwalmart.com. Possibly in more than one photo. ;)

Actually I think he's a misogynist He has protested to often about the fact that he has great respect for women. I've never seen it. I also have him in my kill file. Saves a lot of aggravation. Juno

Au contraire, "ladies"; I'm not the troublemaker here; just an amused responder to the expressed OT foibles of the queens expressed here. The queens respond: "We are not amused" Troublemaker status goes to Juno and others, who "get off" on stirring things up and actually complaining when things get slow.

Eg: Recent Juno quotes:

?maybe start a little mischief here, and have a good time for myself.?

?After all, we "Queens" of alt.sewing know how to get under peoples skin.?

?I usually can get myself in mischief without trying.?

Your humble servant, JPBill

I have instigated a sub-pontin silicate life-form repository, or oubliette. Seems to be performing its proper function...

Doubt it, it is an oubliette after all, and some things really are just best forgotten.
