OT graduation

Hey All,

Well, we all survived. :)

And just so it's kind of on topic........ I did make my skirt. It was going to be a dress. Vogue 8470. Was looking really good till I put on the sleeves and attached the skirt. With the flutter sleeves and the other details on the bodice it was just WRONG on me. So I took the bodice off, finished the half circle skirt all on its own and found a fun top at Talbot's. :) (just a side note, I went in the store with a swatch of my fabric, told them what I wanted and they brought me a top, jacket and cardigan that all matched. And they were Excited to get to try and match the swatch. :) Love service like that. Between the clerks, my mom and me, we decided that the jacket was too structured to go with the skirt, and the cardigan had too much of a pattern in it to go with the floral. The top not only matched Beautifully, it was really comfy. :) )

So today, I may fall over in a heap. ;)

As DH says, "one down, one to go." lol I get to do the whole thing again in 4 more years.

Nice, Sharon, congratulations!

Very pretty pattern, though, so you'll make it up (sans print) another time, right? ;-> Maybe tone down the flutter sleeves?

It's perfect! Don't you love it when you can find RTW in a hurry to complete an outfit.

Don't break your wine glass...

Then, in another 20-25 years you'll want to prepare for the grandchildren's graduations...
