OT: kitty update

Thank you everyone who has been worried about my poor kitty. I am very happy to report that Miss Tickles is doing 100% better after 3 days of thyroid meds. She is Not Amused with having to take a pill every day. However, she has an appetite now! In fact, she woofed down her breakfast, asked if there was any more, and ate that. By lunch time she said she was starving again, could there please be just a little more??? ;) And it's all staying down.

She was also dismayed to discover that the vet trimmed her claws while she was 'under the gas.' (he said she "didn't appreciate" all the things they were doing so he gave her just a little gas to make it easier on everyone. There is a reason they call it "happy gas." She did not care what they did after that!! lol) She has been trying to sharpen them on the carpet all over the house. *sigh*

Other than that, she's back to her good old self. It's been an amazing turn around. I'm really hopeful that the medicine will level her off and we won't have to think about anything more invasive.

Thanks again for all the good thoughts and well wishes. I appreciate it and the Queen accepts it all as her due. ;)

So much to be thankful far, as Thanksgiving approaches.

Now when you finish with the sewing room cleaning fairies, please direct them straight to my home; I need them badly.

Have fun sewing now that both machines are purring like Miss Tickles. Emily

That is wonderful news! Our furry friends are an important part of our lives, often more important day-to-day than some of the hairless bipeds.

Happy to hear your kitty is doing well. My cat also had thyroid issues when she got old. She also did not take well to pills (google the old joke "how to give a cat a pill" ) A drugstore near me filled scripts for the vet and made up a cream for the thyroid meds that I put on the skin just inside the ears where there is no fur (wearing latex gloves so I didn't get a dose). That worked out great...no fighting over pills. My kitty...Ruby Tuesday..is gone now..she was a stray that adopted us and lived the good life here for over 21 years..miss her still.
