You'll recall that I had a problem with the almost new (4.5 year old) dishwasher a few weeks ago. Well, after a very productive day of sewing, I finally came upstairs to make dinner at 6:30.
The ice in the freezer is melted...all the frozen food is defrosted...the freezer thermometer shows 50°F. I'm not sure but I think the refrigerator section is on the blink as well.
So, having paid an exorbitant amount for a five-year extended warrantee, I called the number, explained to the Very Nice Man what was going on. He gave me a Confirmation Number for a repair claim and the phone number of a local appliance repair shop. Called them. Got through to the answering machine, "Business hours are 8-5:30 M-F, please leave a message, and we'll return your call as soon as we can."
So, it appears I'll have to wait until Monday for a call, and who knows when they can schedule a repairperson? And I'm leaving for the desert SW on Friday. OF COURSE this had to happen this weekend. Grumble, &%#$@)*^
The good news is the Very Nice Man at the warrantee company told me to purchase replacement food for all the spoiled stuff, and fax him the receipts, they will reimburse the cost. So I inventoried everything and took pictures, so at least I won't be out the cost of the food.
Beverly, almost finished with the navy suit, just some hand work left, and I made a bunch of customized zippered pockets for my little camera case so I won't be losing yet another SD chip....
